NASEWAUPEE, Wis. (WBAY) - A stabbing on Wednesday morning prompted a shelter-in-place order in Nasewaupee.
Just before 8 a.m. on Wednesday, the Door County Sheriff’s Office responded to County Road C in Nasewaupee for a report of someone bleeding heavily from the neck. First responders treated the person and determined that they had suffered a stab wound to the neck due to a domestic incident.
Authorities say that the perpetrator was initially at large, prompting a public alert around the area of the incident, asking residents to shelter in place. Due to a glitch, this alert went to people outside the intended alert area.
