Volusia County deputies are searching for two individuals near De Leon Springs State Park after a stolen car evaded a traffic stop on Wednesday, with one suspect possibly armed.

Chopper Two flew overhead as deputies searched areas in and around the park. Devyn Gibson, who lives nearby, said, "To know there are fugitives or something, that escaped… that's crazy."

Traffic along Ponce de Leon Boulevard was disrupted as drivers encountered the significant law enforcement presence. Madyson Southgate, another local resident, said, "We heard all the commotion. We heard them all coming when it first started happening."

Both Gibson and Southgate find the large police presence unsettling, especially given the limited information about the suspects. Southgate said, "I didn't know it was two fugiti
