EAST LANSING- The NCAA announced today that the Michigan State football program has been placed on probation and will be forced to vacate three seasons of wins for violations that occurred during Mel Tucker’s tenure as head coach.
The violations occurred due to the participation of three ineligible players. As a result, the Spartans will vacate every game won from the 2022 through 2024 seasons, amounting to 14. That means that current head coach Jonathon Smith is now officially without a win against a Big Ten team is his time with the green and white.
