Midseason grades: Defense leading charge as Lions cross midway point of schedule

The Detroit Lions have played nine of the 17 games on their regular-season schedule, which means it’s time for a quick check on how things are going at each position.

At 6-3, most of what we’ve seen from these Lions has been positive — even if they’ve at times fallen short of the standard they set over the last few seasons.
