BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Friends and family of a Jasper teenager left in critical condition after being hit by a car gathered Wednesday night to pray for him .
Loved ones of Curry High School student Wesson lane describe him as a fun-loving, kindhearted kid who’s always smiling — and who loves his pickup truck.
Over a dozen trucks and more than 100 people lined up at The Barn in Jasper to show their support, praying for Lane’s recovery. The gathering was all organized by two of his closest friends.
Police say the crash happened Tuesday night outside of Planet Fitness just after 9 p.m. Curry High School later confirmed that Lane was the teen injured in the accident.
