Emilie Kiser has issued her first statement addressing the tragic death of her son Trigg after he drowned in a backyard pool, admitting she should have done more as his mother to “protect him”.
The American influencer’s three-year-old Trigg was pulled unconscious from the family pool in Arizona on May 12 and died in hospital six days later.
On Friday, she released a lengthy statement to her 1.8 million Instagram followers that detailed her magnitude of grief and how moving forward in life without her fist-born “feels unbearable”.
Kiser also said the hardest lesson she has learnt from this tragedy was that a “permanent pool fence could have saved (Trigg’s) life”.
