VAIL, Ariz. (13 News) - The outrage over Halloween costumes worn by teachers at a Vail school continues, even after the original accusations were debunked.
On Halloween, multiple math teachers at Cienega High wore shirts covered in fake blood, saying, “Problem Solved.”
That phrase was incorrectly linked by people online to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, even though the teachers wore the same costumes last year.
But at the Vail School District Governing Board meeting Wednesday night, it was clear the costumes were still a problem for some.
The issue itself wasn’t on the agenda; however, some addressed it during the call to the public, and a lot of the concerns brought up were addressed by Superintendent John Carruth before the meeting when he spoke with 13 News.
