CLEVELAND — You might've noticed more golf carts cruising through downtown Cleveland lately.

City Council recently approved new rules allowing businesses to operate "under-speed vehicles," like golf carts, on city streets. The law allows these vehicles to travel up to 20 miles per hour and weigh less than 3,000 pounds, though they can only operate on streets with speed limits of 35 mph or less and must be used for business purposes — not as rentals or personal vehicles.

Drivers must title and register their vehicles and pass a $150 annual inspection.
