Delhi Red Fort Blast: Delhi Police on Thursday confirmed that Dr Umar Un Nabi was the individual behind the car blast near the Red Fort, following forensic DNA testing that matched his biological sample with that of his mother.

Speaking exclusively to ANI, senior police officials stated that the confirmation came after days of meticulous forensic analysis. A senior officer noted that Umar’s leg was found trapped between the steering wheel and the accelerator, indicating he was driving the vehicle at the time of the explosion.

“DNA profiling has conclusively identified the deceased as Dr Umar Un Nabi. His sample was matched with his mother’s DNA to establish the relationship,” said the senior Delhi Police officer.
