CLEVELAND, Ohio — Browns legend Bernie Kosar is asking for prayers after undergoing ‘two aggressive procedures’ to stop internal bleeding as he awaits a liver transplant that has been delayed.
He took to X to tell fans he was set to get a liver transplant this past weekend, until it was held off due to the donor organ being infected.
Kosar then underwent the two procedures and was set for a third procedure.
“I could really use your love, support and actual prayers today,” Kosar said from his hospital bed .
In July 2024, Kosar announced in a Cleveland Magazine story that he had been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and Parkinson’s disease.
Kosar spent nine seasons with the Browns, who selected him with their first selection in the 1985 supplemental draft.
