In an April column, Lorrie Goldstein noted the Liberal government has never gotten anywhere close to its emission reduction targets. He cited a report from federal Environment Commissioner Jerry DeMarco. It found that achieving the 40-per-cent minimum target for 2030 would require measures that would cripple Canada’s economy.

Now, we may just reach targets once considered unattainable with help from an unexpected source. That source? Donald J. Trump!
