Cormac O’Malley to Explore Helen Hooker O’Malley’s Artistic Legacy on Nov. 19

The Museum of Newport Irish History announces the third talk of its 24 th Annual Lecture Series, to be presented on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m. The talk will feature guest speaker Cormac K.H. O’Malley, a retired international corporate lawyer who has dedicated many years to preserving the literary and historical legacy of his father, Irish patriot and author Ernie O’Malley, as well as the artistic and cultural legacy of his mother, Helen Hooker O’Malley.

The lecture, titled "The Artistic Legacy of Helen Hooker O'Malley (1905-1993): Capturing Ireland in Camera, Sculpture, Painting, and Cloth," is made possible by a generous gift from Francis J. Furtado, given in memory of his wife, Barbara Carr Furtado. Re
