This year’s Parklife Festival and the Oasis shows at Heaton Park have helped raise more than £150,000 that’ll go back into the local area.
This summer, Heaton Park was at the centre of attention as Manchester legends Oasis made their eagerly-awaited homecoming reunion with five massive shows in July - creating a jubilant energy from fans.
Not only did the shows sell out in minutes, but crowds gathered at pubs and bars nearby to soak up the atmosphere - whilst many also took refuge on Gallagher Hill to recognise the historic music moment.
Before that, the park had played host to Parklife - featuring headline sets from Charli XCX, 50 Cent and Jorja Smith - whilst there was also a sell-out show from Catfish and the Bottlemen.
