Large parts of the UK are affected by Met Office severe weather warnings for rain over the next three days, including parts of north west England.

Some "flooding and disruption" can be expected over the next few days as heavy rain hits large parts of the UK.

The first warning came into effect at 12am on Thursday (November 13), affecting parts of north east England, north west England , and Scotland, which is set to remain in place until 11am the same day.

Met Office's alert warns of "persistent and heavy" rain which could lead to "some disruption" during the time of the alert. Further description warns of up to 40 to 50mm of rain during the morning.
