The Met Office has issued a rare amber warning ahead of Storm Claudia's arrival.
Britain will soon be battered by the storm, as the weather alert comes into effect from Friday at 12 noon.
Storm Claudia is likely to bring heavy rain leading to flooding and disruption tomorrow, according to the National Weather Agency.
The Met Office said: "Storm Claudia, previously named by the Spanish Meteorological Service, will bring rain that will become persistent and heavy during Friday.
"40-60 mm of rain is expected widely across this region with some places seeing around 80 mm; these higher accumulations more probable across the East Midlands, and higher ground in Wales and western England.
