Amid the ongoing drive to make Punjab safer, Amritsar Rural Police have arrested two men for their role in the November 6 firing at a provisional store in Jandiala Guru, an incident linked to an extortion bid, officials said on Thursday. One foreign-made pistol has been recovered from their possession.

Deputy Inspector General (Border Range) Sandeep Goel identified the arrested accused as Ravi, resident of Pandori Waraich, and Ujjwal Hans, resident of Batala Road, Amritsar. He said both are linked to the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang and were acti
