Srinagar, Nov 13: In ongoing crackdown against the menace of drugs, Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested 03 drug peddlers in Shopian, Awantipora & Ganderbal and recovered contraband substances from their possession.

In Shopian, a police party of Police Station Imamsahib at a checkpoint established at Manihal crossing, intercepted a suspicious person. During search, charas like substance (06 Sticks) weighing approximately 245 grams was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Shahnawaz Ahmad Allai resident of Melhura Zainapora. He has been arrested and a case vide FIR No. 37/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Imamsahib, and investigation has been initiated, police spokesperson said.
