The Vermont Department of Public Safety is planning a test of the Vermont Blue Alert System on Thursday afternoon.
The exercise will be conducted between 2 and 3 p.m., and will test the functionality of various components of the Blue Alert System, the agency said. The VT-Alert system will send messages to its thousands of subscribers, the Vermont Agency of Transportation message boards will be populated with information related to the test, and VT Lottery will activate their system to message their signs, tickets and kiosks.
