An amber weather warning has been issued by the Met Office as Storm Claudia is set to affect UK conditions, bringing "gusty winds", heavy rain, and flooding in certain areas.

It comes after a 24-hour weather warning for rain had already been issued by the UK weather agency affecting large parts of the country including north west England and Wales.

The yellow weather warning for rain is set to come into effect at 6am on Friday, November 14, remaining in place until 6am the following morning, Saturday, November 15.

But now, a further yellow weather warning for wind and a more severe amber weather warning for rain has been issued by the Met Office, as they prepare for the impact from Storm Claudia.
