A Salem woman who allegedly sold body parts stolen from the Harvard morgue is expected to plead guilty to a federal charge in the case, the seventh defendant to admit to a role in the macabre scheme that also involved a mortuary in Arkansas, legal filings show.
A 30-page plea agreement filed on Halloween in federal court in Pennsylvania said Katrina Maclean, 46, will plead guilty to a sole count of interstate transportation of stolen goods. The charge carries a maximum prison term of 10 years, but prosecutors will request that she serve just one year behind bars.
Maclean’s attorney didn’t immediately return a request for comment Wednesday. Her plea deal was previously reported by Boston.com.
It wasn’t immediately clear when she’s scheduled to plead guilty.
