A Boston woman was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly tried to rob a convenience store and steal a car while wielding a knife in Dorchester, police said .
Jenisteen Tomlinson, 31, was charged with armed carjacking, armed robbery, and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, according to court records.
She pleaded not guilty at her arraignment Wednesday in the Dorchester division of Boston Municipal Court, records show.
Officers arrested Tomlinson after officers were called to 1102 Blue Hill Ave. for a report of an armed robbery at 5:23 p.m., police said.
The victim said he was working on a vehicle’s brakes when Tomlinson allegedly got into the driver’s seat and attempted to drive off, police said.
