The Celtics dominant 131-95 rout of the shorthanded Grizzlies on Wednesday night drew the ire of Memphis coach Tuomas Iisalo.
Boston led by as many as 38 points in the demolition as they scored at least 30 points in every quarter while holding the Grizzlies to a season-low 33.7 percent shooting from the field. Iisalo had praise for Boston but took issue with his team’s effort in the embarrassing defeat.
“I would say this - it’s one way to lose is not to make shots today, I think we struggled a lot,” Iisalo said. “Even with open 3-pointers and we couldn’t convert underneath the basket. At the same time, their shot making was at a relatively high level. That’s all good. That’s part of basketball. It happens sometimes.
