Kol Israel Foundation held its 2025 event remembering Kristallnacht, “87 Years After Kristallnacht: The Pulse of Antisemitism Today,” on Nov. 9 at B’nai Jeshurun Congregation in Pepper Pike. Guest panelists acknowledged the recent global rise in antisemitism but expressed optimism for the future and emphasized the importance of engaging younger generations in Holocaust education.
Panelists Kelly Fishman, regional director of the Anti-Defamation League Ohio River Valley, Gary Moody, a teacher in North Canton City Schools and a previous teacher fellow at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., and Mark Swaim-Fox, president and CEO of The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio and chairperson of the Ohio Holocaust and Genocide Memorial and Education Commission, said even 87 years
