A pensioner has been left with serious injuries following a crash earlier today (Thursday). The crash saw emergency services scrambled to atted a scene in Sandbach at around 10.05am.

Police had received reports of a collision between a black Lamborghini and a Red Vauxhall Viva. People have been warned to stay away from the area following the incident.

Police said a man in his 80s, the driver of the Vauxhall, is being treated in hospital for 'serious injuries'. Cheshire Police collision investigators have been called in with a full road closure in place on Crewe Road, reports Stoke On Trent Live .
