Jesse Jackson Sr., 84, has been hospitalized in Chicago for a neurodegenerative condition, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. It's a rare brain disease that affects walking, balance, eye movements and swallowing, according to the Mayo Clinic. Jackson announced in 2017 he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
