A 48-year-old Guelph man found hiding inside a school closet after school hours is facing a list of charges.
Guelph police said the man was discovered in the closet of an east-end school on Tuesday at about 4:15 p.m. while children were present for an after-school program.
Police believe the man was wait for the school to close to commit theft.
The man fled the school but was arrested a short distance away. During a search of the man, officers said they found several credit cards in different names, several sets of car keys, three watches and a number of tools.
The man was charged with breaking and entering, possessing stolen property, possessing break-in tools and unauthorized possession of a credit card.
He was held for a bail hearing Thursday.
