CLEVELAND —
A man has died after apparently trying to save his dogs from a house fire in Cleveland, according to fire officials.

One person escaped the fire and another went back in the house and was "overcome by smoke/heat from wind-driven fire," a report from NBC affiliated WKYC said .
Fire officials said it appears the man was attempting to rescue his dogs.
