Marshalls officially opened its doors in Leesburg Thursday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, eager shoppers lined up outside and a generous $10,000 donation to the Leesburg Food Bank to mark the occasion.
The new store, located at 919 N. 14th St., welcomed customers bright and early as city officials, store leaders and community members gathered to get a first look.
Leesburg Mayor Alan Reisman joined the event and praised the retailer’s investment in the growing city.
“We are so happy Marshalls decided to invest in Leesburg,” he says. “Leesburg is open for business, and we couldn’t be more excited to have them here.”
Within minutes of opening, shoppers were filling aisles with carts, browsing the store’s wide selection of brand-name clothing, home goods, shoes, and accessories.
