ASHEVILLE – Riverbend Park, a nearly half-mile long, linear park on the Swannanoa River, is due for a refresh. It saw damage to asphalt trails and river embankments from Tropical Storm Helene in September 2024.
The city put out a bid for a firm to handle assessment, design and construction administration at the park Oct. 30. Responses are due in December, with a projected start date early next year, and tentative completion November 2026.
