PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Crews are working to contain a blaze at a wastewater treatment plant in west Phoenix on Thursday morning.
The fire broke out shortly after 9 a.m. at the City of Phoenix Wastewater Treatment Plant near 91st and Sunland avenues , south of Broadway Road. Details remain limited at this time, and Arizona’s Family has reached out to Phoenix Fire to see if any injuries were reported.
Arizona’s Family news chopper witnessed plumes of white smoke pouring from sections of the plant. Black burn marks covered some parts of equipment.
Firefighters are working to determine what sparked the fire.
