The U.S. House voted to end the longest-ever government shutdown in a 222-209 vote Wednesday night, with President Donald Trump signed a resolution to fund the government just before 10:25 p.m.

According to USA TODAY, shuttered preschools NS food benefit programs, as well as federal agencies, national parks and other landmarks, will reopen. Furloughed federal employees will return to work and government data will begin circulating again.

Some effects of the shutdown could linger, however, with delayed and canceled flights expected to persist this week, federal workers still in need of backpay and millions of Americans still waiting for food stamps that were previously halted.
