After being closed for more than a month due to the government shutdown, Smithsonian museums are set to reopen on a rolling basis starting Friday, Nov. 14.
The National Museum of American History, the National Air and Space Museum and the Steven F Udvar-Hazy Center will reopen on Nov. 14, the Smithsonian Institute said , while the National Zoo will reopen on Saturday, Nov. 15. All of the Zoo’s animal webcams, including the Giant Panda Cam, will go back online when the Zoo reopens to the public.
All other museums and research centers will reopen on a rolling basis by Monday, Nov. 17.
Visitors should check the Smithsonian website before visiting any of the museums .
