The Inglis family’s half-century ride in the London motorcycle business has led them to the industry’s national hall of fame.
London’s Inglis Cycle, started by Alan Inglis and now owned by sons Mike and Gord Inglis, has been selling motorcycles to the community for 47 years and was recently inducted into the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
“It’s an honour, being that we’ve been in the motorcycle business in Canada since 1978. You’re recognized by peers across the industry and across Canada,” Gord Inglis said.
Their current store, located at 466 McCormick Blvd., opened in 1985 and was an amalgamation of two previous ones – but their family history in the industry dates back much farther.
Inglis’s great-grandfather, George William Foster, established the G.W. Foster company in Englan
