The North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park will close for the winter at sunset Friday, Nov. 14, six weeks after reopening to visitors for the first time since the summer’s Dragon Bravo Fire.

The National Park Service said in a press release Thursday that predicted snowfall over the coming weekend could create hazardous travel conditions on the northern side of the canyon.
