RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Black Community Collective will be hosting its 3rd annual gala later this month.
Dr. Edward Coleman stopped by Morning Break to invite the whole community out to their masquerade ball where they will also be honoring two Black community leaders, James Gayles and Dr. Bayo Curry-Winchell. They’re also raising money for Hampton House .
According to it’s website, “Hampton House is a community organization in Reno, Nevada that led the charge to ensure women and families had somewhere to go in Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County. The county-run shelters are full, so Lily Baran coordinated downtown churches on a rotating schedule to host women and families in need of emergency winter shelter.”
The masquerade ball takes place Saturday, Nov. 22 from 6-9 p.m. at the Wilbur D
