TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Tucson Mayor Regina Romero and Pima County Board Chair Rex Scott have made a statement about the ongoing efforts to address homelessness and the fentanyl/opioid crisis in Tucson, agreeing that more needs to be done.
Romero and Scott have announced a joint meeting scheduled for Nov. 18 to address pressing community issues.
In their joint statement, Romero and Scott emphasized their commitment to finding shared solutions that benefit their residents. They highlighted past successful collaborations, such as the Justice Metro Working Groups, the Tucson Pima County Collaboration to End Homelessness, the Community Wildlife Protection Plan, and building Heat Resilience through coordinated efforts.
