MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A 33-year-old man, Martinez Thompson, is facing charges in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on January 29, 2025.

Memphis police responded to the intersection of Supreme Avenue and Airways Boulevard just after midnight on January 29, where they discovered a man who had been shot to death.

After a nearly nine-month investigation, authorities identified Thompson as the suspect.

On November 12, the Raines Station Task Force successfully located and apprehended Thompson.

He has been charged with second-degree murder, being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
