Cult-favorite chain Layne’s Chicken Fingers is getting closer to roosting in San Antonio. The Frisco-based brand has filed state paperwork to build its first area location at 1510 TX-46 North in Seguin and inked a major franchising deal that will bring at least one additional restaurant inside the city limits.

On Thursday, November 13, the Texas chain announced an agreement with real estate and restaurant developer Eli Cohen to bring 44 units to San Antonio, West Texas, and the Coastal Bend. The release did not mention how many restaurants would open in San Antonio, but it did promise an eventual debut.
