Martin Lewis is urging O2 customers to dial a five digit code if they want to shop around for alternative suppliers following the price rise announcement.

The BBC and ITV star spoke out after O2 unexpectedly announced it was raising prices by £2.50 a month.

The 52-year-old wrote: "Beware unclear O2 messaging! When it notifies you about its hike on its airtime price hike - you've a RIGHT to leave penalty free within 30 days of notification.
