Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin successfully landed its colossal New Glenn rocket’s first stage rocket following the launch of the ESCAPADE Mars mission, marking a significant achievement in reusable rocket technology.

The 321-foot-tall booster, often described as building-sized due to its massive scale, touched down on Blue Origin’s droneship “Jacklyn” in the Atlantic Ocean approximately nine minutes after liftoff from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

The New Glenn rocket, powered by seven BE-4 engines burning liquid methane and oxygen, carried NASA’s ESCAPE (Escape and Plasma Acceleration and Dynamics Explorers) twin spacecraft destined for Mars to study the planet’s magnetosphere and solar wind interactions.
