On November 13 at around noon, St. Albert RCMP was dispatched to reports of a male attempting to steal vehicles at two local businesses on the north side of the city. Investigation determined that he was also in a stolen black SUV.

St. Albert RCMP responded and engaged with the assistance of the Alberta RCMP’s Real Time Operations Centre (RTOC), Air Services, support units and Edmonton Police Service.

The suspect began driving dangerously and erratically at high speeds, resulting in several near misses and multiple collisions. Police took actions to protect the public throughout the incident, with the suspect eventually crashing the vehicle in the Inglewood area. He attempted to flee on foot but was quickly captured.

No members of the public or police officers were harmed in this event.
