EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Local organizations came together to celebrate World Kindness Day.
This included a table set up on Sixth and Main where people handed out popcorn and apple cider to those walking by.
It was put together by a partnership with “We Are All philanthropists,” the JD Seth Foundation, and Sixth and Zero.
“It can be a smile, it can be a warm greeting, opening the door for someone, visiting someone in a nursing home, raking leaves for your neighbor, whatever that looks like for you,” says Mary Allen, owner of Sixth and Zero.
Officials also say the day is a symbol of how we should live our lives all the time.
“We all are very different and to come together on a day to support kindness and to promote that, I think is really important,” says Jaimie Sheth, founder of the
