Pritha Doegar, a Class XI Humanities student at Auckland House School, has secured the Bronze Award in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2025, one of the world’s oldest international writing contests. Her entry stood out among 53,434 submissions from 56 Commonwealth nations, marking a significant rise in participation this year.
Competing in the Senior Category, Pritha wrote on the theme inspired by Queen Camilla: “Human beings have always needed the connection of literature – its wisdom as well as its sheer escapism.” Her essay explored the lasting relevance of books and their ability to shape thought and imagination.
