Week brings spirit to area charter school
Students at Imagine Prep Surprise experienced a bit of “Rio” during homecoming spirit week festivities the week of Oct. 13.
With spirit days like “Copacabana Dreams” (pajama day) and “Birds of a Feather” (twin day), students were able to engage with the theme of homecoming the entire week.
In addition to spirit days, grade levels and clubs worked hard to create floats for the annual homecoming parade. Floats are usually created by decorating the bed of a truck or a trailer to fit the theme of homecoming.
Float decorating begins bright and early before school and continues into the morning before the parade begins a little before lunch time.
The parade gives students a chance to show off their decorating skills and pass out candy to their peers
