Norfolk County Mayor Amy Martin wants to take another look at putting security at the county administration building in Simcoe.
The mayor asked staff to investigate the cost of adding security to downtown’s Governor Simcoe Square, the site of county offices, the council chamber and the public library.

Martin made the request after councillors agreed at a council-in-committee meeting on Thursday to fund security guard services, up to 28 hours a week at a cost of $25,000, at Talbot Gardens arena. Final approval is required at an upcoming council meeting.
