The Scottish SPCA has shared the "devastating effects" of fireworks, with animals at their Glasgow centre in utter terror and panic.

The charity said "enough is enough" as they shared pictures taken after Bonfire Night, where fireworks were set off near their centre on Kinnell Place.

Terrified dogs had shredded their beds as a result of stress, and some had soiled their kennels due to severe panic.

The Scottish SPCA team are now calling for the complete ban on public sale and use of fireworks. Posting on Facebook they wrote: "We hesitated to share these images, but the reality needs to be seen.
