New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) A group of children from various organisations and schools of the national capital visited Rashtrapati Bhavan to mark the Children’s Day. President Droupadi Murmu interacted with children and called them the future of the nation.

Children’s Day is observed annually on November 14 to honour India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Popularly known as ‘Chacha Nehru’, he was remembered for his deep affection for children and his belief in nurturing them with care and warmth.

In a post on X, the President wrote, “On the occasion of Children’s Day, President Droupadi Murmu interacted with children from various schools and organisations at Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre.

She also shared some joyful moments with the children, as a few of them sang Vande Matar
