COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police are investigating a shooting incident that happened around 10:45 a.m. Friday morning, say police.

Officers say the isolated shooting happened in the 2700 block of Middleburg Drive around 10:45 a.m. near the Planned Parenthood Columbia location.

A male was shot and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police say one person has been detained, and there is no threat to public safety.
