WINNIPEG — In various capacities, the Grey Cup and Winnipeg have always been intertwined for Andrew Harris.
While the former Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back won two Grey Cups with his hometown Blue Bombers in 2019 and 2021, his other two championships involved the Manitoba capital as well.
In 2011, Harris captured his first Grey Cup as a member of the B.C. Lions, who beat the Blue Bombers in the championship game. Then in 2022, as a member of the Grey Cup-winning Toronto Argonauts, Harris once again prevailed over Winnipeg, played in Regina’s Mosaic Stadium.
This week, Harris — now the running backs coach for the Saskatchewan Roughriders — is looking for a fifth Grey Cup ring in five appearances in a game that will be played in Winnipeg without the Blue Bombers , as the Riders
