A man responsible for Boston Public Schools’ (BPS) bus maintenance and safety has been accused of soliciting over $870,000 in an 11-year-long bribery scheme with vendors who worked on the school buses and in bus yards.
Michael Muller, 59, of Millbury, the former Director of Fleet and Facilities for the “Transportation Company” which manages BPS bus operations, is one of two men listed in a 21-count indictment on the case, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
He is charged alongside John Colantuoni, 60, of Westwood, who is one of the vendors accused of paying the bribes. Colantuoni was arrested in Florida on Friday morning.
